What it is
Quant is the AI coding agent inside Vela, LuxAlgo's charting platform. You describe an indicator or strategy in plain language and Quant writes the Pine Script code, checks that it runs, backtests it on the chart and can draw levels such as fair value gaps directly on the candles.
LuxAlgo says Quant draws on five years of its published trading logic rather than a generic chatbot. Usage is metered in monthly credits shared with the Backtesting Assistant, and every account, including the free one, includes some Quant credits.

A first-year promotion was running on October 14, 2026 (for example Ultimate at $395.93 for the first year, then $719.88). LuxAlgo states that promotional pricing applies to the initial payment and renewals bill at the standard rate. The 30-day refund covers the first payment only.
What published results say
No independent evaluation with a published sample size was found for this tool as of October 14, 2026. We will add one here when it exists.
LuxAlgo's own marketing shows sample backtest reports. LuxAlgo labels all Quant backtests as hypothetical and produced from inputs the user controls; we do not reproduce those figures.
Limits
- Backtests built by Quant are simulated results on historical data, with the usual risks of overfitting.
- Credits run out: heavy users need a higher plan.
- Renewal at the standard rate can be much higher than the promotional first payment.
